September 10 Valley Life Column
If you read this column regularly, you know I try to focus on positives rather than negatives. Instead of writing about pungent dairies or treacherous Blue Lakes Boulevard, I write about flowers and kittens and things that make us laugh.

But this week, that's been hard to do. This week, it's hard to eat without feeling guilty or crawl into a comfy bed knowing people in New Orleans are lucky to be sleeping on floors in shelters.
